Marjorie J. Rapp, Author, Speaker, & Attorney
Easter Sunday 2005 I spoke at a wonderful church in Southern Minnesota. In part, I said to this congregation, that even after completing eight years of college as a single parent, my long term goal was to write and speak. I knew part of my message would speak to how addictions keep us from seeing and hearing the spiritual awakenings in our lives. The blogs on my website are one of the ways God has confirmed what I have always believed; that our visions and dreams are God’s will for our lives.
“I hope wherever you are in your journey, you know that you are never alone. God is always with you.”
The personal side of my life:
I start and end each day with prayers full of gratitude for all God has done and is doing in my life. My relationship with Jesus is why I am here today to share with you how He walked with me from there to here. All praise goes to Him, Father, God, who speaks to me through music, nature, my incredible three children and their beautiful families – and sometimes even license plates. (More on that another time!)
I have been blessed with twelve amazing grandchildren. They are my best teachers and each one is a precious gift. My time with them is never enough as I feel so much love and joy in every moment with them. Aside from Christ, my family is the most important to me. They inspire me to do what I love and they always support my dreams.
I currently live in St. Paul, but I have lived in Colorado, Southern MN, and Oregon. I have loved each place.
I also enjoy hiking, photography, reading, painting, road trips, concerts and playing the piano.
The professional side of my life:
I write and speak to bring honor to God and encouragement to people. At this time, I’m working on a book, a criminal suspense thriller, titled Under Advisement. Aside from being a writer, I am an attorney. I started my own practice, Bridgeport Family Law, which I ran for fifteen years. I also taught at William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul and was a Judicial Law Clerk in Ramsey County.
