As the years fly by I love that some things never change.
The depth of the green color in the trees.
The sound of children playing in their yard.
The sign that is taped to a small table by the curb that reads “Lemonade”.
Couples of all ages, holding hands as they walk.
The beautiful sound of a high school band in the parade.
The smell of lilacs that nestle in the corners of the homes in my neighborhood.
The feel of fresh cut grass on my bare feet.
The sound of rain as I fall asleep knowing it is sent from heaven.
Sitting on a blanket and watching the fireworks.
People standing in line to buy their favorite Dairy Queen treat.
Parks full of baseball teams and bleachers filled with family and friends.
The sound of the birds in the early morning as I wake.
The taste of ice cold watermelon at a family picnic.
The beauty of every flower in arrangements that are a piece of art.
I’m so grateful that not everything changes.
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today and forever.
