At this time of year I reflect on the the Easters of my life – the decisions or events in my life when change was inevitable. Some of the most significant times in my life have been in this season.
Sometimes this meant death to an old way of thinking, doing or being in the world, or reaching a milestone where celebration and joy were all around, or saying goodbye to a loved one.
I invite you to reflect on the Easters of your own life as I share a few of my own with you:
The death of my beautiful mother Kathryn Rose (Ahmann) Ennen – March 28, 2009
My song to her now and then – The Wind Beneath My Wings (Bette Midler)
The birth of my amazing daughter Allison Jeanne – April 01, 1977
Met the father of my three children – my greatest blessings – April 07, 1972
Moved from Minnesota to Denver with my three children – April 12, 1985
My sober date – April 27, 1986
Received the Minnesota State Bar results “We Are Pleased To Inform You” – April 14, 1999
The Opening of Bridgeport Family Law Center – May 7, 1999
May God bless and protect you in the Easters of your life – He Has Risen – He Is Alive – Alleluia!
